New York Times . The last 8 years have been very revealing.
The American people have learned a lot of dirty secrets our government has been hiding from us.
The revelations concerning the NSA’s perpetual violations of our privacy and ubiquitous surveillance of citizens is a pretty big one, for example.
What may have seemed like a conspiracy theory or something only seen in a James Bond film, was actually true. But worse than that, even after getting caught and offering up mea culpas, practically nothing has been done to roll it back.
Then there was Obama’s use of the IRS to target conservative groups and the EPA’s slush fund for Obama donors and friends, not to mention the Justice Department’s politicization and corruption.
But things have gone into overdrive since Trump emerged on the scene.
Leftists throughout the government; media, intelligence community, etc. have shed any pretense of bipartisanship or professionalism to come together in an effort to destroy the President.
It’s been an unprecedented display of lies, abuse, and deceit. From their efforts, however, the most startling revelation of all has emerged:
That there truly does exist a Deep State in America. It may sound like a conspiracy theory, as it’s often labelled to immediately shut a person up and make them seem crazy, but it’s reality.
While it may not be a literal, scheming cabal of people in a dark room somewhere, it’s a significant portion of people using their positions to target people and policies that don’t agree with their left-wing ideology.
And the result is what we’ve seen, a bunch of leftists fancying themselves as a “righteous resistance” to Trump and conservatism. Because the media’s been cheerleading people to stand up, it only reinforces their skewed beliefs.
This campaign has lead to many leaks from within the Trump administration, as journalists have been colluding with “aggrieved” liberal allies inside the government to spill the beans on Trump and his officials.
This, after they praised Obama’s “most transparent administration in history” despite his unprecedented crackdown on leakers. My, how their tune has changed so quickly.
As reported at Breitbart, emails from a reporter for the New York Times to government employees demonstrate that the newspaper’s employees are not just on the receiving end of leaks, but are actually soliciting government employees to become leakers.
What’s more, the emails demonstrate the Times colluded with the president of government union to encourage and solicit these leaks—something that may become highly problematic for both institutions.
“Thanks again for taking the time to speak today,” Coral Davenport, an “Energy and Environment Correspondent” for the New York Times, writes in an email to John J. O’Grady of the EPA workers’ union.
O’Grady is the president of the AFGE Council 238 in Chicago—which represents EPA workers.
“As I mentioned, I’m working on a story looking specifically at concrete examples of unusual secretary at E.P.A.,” Davenport states, continuing:
“I’ve heard a lot of second-hand rumors, but in order to report these incidents, I’d need to have firsthand or eyewitness accounts.
I’m looking for examples of things like, information being communicated only verbally when it would historically have been put in writing, people being told not to bring phones, laptops or even take notes in meetings where they would in the past typically have done so, eyewitness accounts of things like the administrator or top political appointees refusing to use official email, phones or computers, or any other specific, first-hand examples of practices that appear to demonstrate unprecedented secrecy or transparency.”
The email goes on to talk about how she’s used inside sources and leakers to write break several stories already.
She then links to them, and all 4 were hit-pieces on the president using unidentified leakers from within the administration.
Davenport then practically begs O’Grady to help her out and send her contact info and the information she’s seeking to his large database of EPA employees, which is a blatant attempt to find a willing leaker.
Like a good leftist, O’Grady eagerly complies, forwarding Davenport’s email and his words of encouragement saying:
“Below is an e-mail I received from Coral Davenport of the New York Times. She needs our assistance in verifying some information she has heard.”
So a New York Slimes reporter solicited an EPA union rep to illegally leak info to her, and the guy complies.
It goes to show you just how shameless the Left is, and just how far the media is willing to go to smear the Trump administration.
We’ve seen wave after wave of leaks concerning national security making headlines, even though such spilling of secrets damages not only policies and political strategies, but democracy.
The Left lost the election, so they’re using any means necessary to sabotage the president, even if it means putting intelligence agents and potentially soldiers at risk.
